The Camera I Carry

Process / 2026

Why a small camera changes the attention we give to walks, branches, fields, and home.

I bought a remarkably small camera that could stay in my backpack. I began recording the walk home, branches moving in the breeze, and the fields I crossed with my grandmother.

Compared with a phone, the camera feels deliberate. Each time I press the shutter, I hope the image might become something worth printing.
